Athena Cleanse – Root Zone Optimizing Agent

Athena Cleanse is a root zone optimizing solution made from Hypochlorous acid, a safe and effective compound derived from salt and a proprietary electrochemical process. This unique, plant-safe chemical features powerful oxidative properties that help maintain a clean root zone, preventing unwanted organisms and buildup. It also enhances both mineral and oxygen availability in the growing media, promoting healthier plant development.

How to Use:

System Maintenance:

• Regular use of Athena Cleanse in irrigation systems ensures a longer lifespan and optimal performance by breaking down scale, mineral buildup, and organic matter in the system.

• Regular Use: Add 2-5 mL per gallon of water for routine maintenance.

Severe Conditions:

• For more serious issues in the reservoir or growing media, increase the dosage to 5-10 mL per gallon of water to tackle stubborn buildup.

Cuttings/Clones:

• Essential for cloning machines and fresh cuttings. Soak fresh cuttings in a solution of Cleanse (10 mL per gallon) to improve cell health and increase plant immunity. Cleanse-treated seedlings and cuttings are more vigorous and have a higher chance of developing into healthy, robust plants. Roots treated with Cleanse will be bright white with numerous tiny feeder root hairs.

RDWC and Recirculating Hydroponics Systems:

• Use Athena Cleanse in recirculating and DWC systems to increase oxygen and nutrient availability. It helps prevent common issues like anaerobic microbial growth and biofilm buildup, while breaking down hard-to-dissolve minerals and preventing mineral lockout, a major cause of deficiencies and plant health problems.

Media/System Flush:

• During the final flush stage, mix Athena Cleanse at 5-10 mL per gallon of water to reduce mineral buildup in both growing media and plant tissues. This encourages the plant to produce more oils, aromas, and flavors, enhancing the end product's quality.

• This process can also be used during vegetative or flowering phases if mineral imbalances or unwanted buildup occur.

Foliar Applications:

• For foliar sprays, mix 375 mL Cleanse per gallon of water. Always test on a small area first to ensure no adverse effects on the plant.

Surface Treatment/Cleaning:

• Spray cultivation surfaces, work areas, and irrigation equipment with a dilute solution of Athena Cleanse (375 mL per gallon) to maintain a clean environment free of toxic chemicals. Regular use helps extend the life of irrigation filters and other equipment.
